Adopted!

Hi there!  I’m Akasha, a 6-month old Lab mix from MO. I was found as a stray, but boy am I living large now! I have an awesome foster family, complete with 2 Lab siblings who really love to play with me. My foster mom is surprised by this, because they are older (12 and 6) and usually not up for puppy playtime. Mom says it’s because I have good energy and respect my elders.  I love to roughhouse, but I know when to stop.

I’ve acclimated really well to living in a home. I haven’t had a single accident and tell mommy when I need to go potty. I handle my business straight away when I go out and get lots of praise for that. I love to play, play, play, and I’m getting really good at Fetch and Drop.  Tennis balls are my life!  After a day of playing, I hang out with the family and snuggle next to mom in bed all night long.

I’m getting better at walking on leash, but those darn squirrels taunt me and my foster sisters constantly. Mom keeps a close eye on me so I don’t take off after one, and she hopes my forever family will walk me a lot so I can keep getting better at it.
I’m super chill in the house. I keep mom company all day long while she works. I get to go outside for potty and playtime every few hours, which works really well for a young pup like me. I’ve met a lot of people and dogs in the neighborhood, and they all love me! Mom says I’m really smart and catch on easily.  I already know Sit, Off, and Down.

As much as I love it here, I’m hoping for a forever family I can call my own.  I’m very affectionate and don’t have any bad habits to speak of. Mom says there’s a really lucky family out there for me.  I can’t wait to meet you!
