I reviewed your application and you seem like you'd be an amazing foster home. Unfortunately, you reside outside of our service area, which sadly, disqualifies you from fostering for MLRR. Our foster homes need to be within a certain geographic area for adoption, medical visits with MLRR vet partners and meet & greets with potential forever families. I'm sorry.

Please consider reaching out to a local shelter or humane society closer to you. There is plenty of need in all communities.

Foster Application Email Response

Thank you for submitting your application to MLRR! Foster homes are the lifeline to our rescue and we can't survive without them.

The next step is for you to review and submit an MLRR Foster Agreement. Once the agreement is received, I will arrange for one of our experienced foster home volunteers to conduct a home visit. It will take just about an hour. All members of your family, including pets, must be present. Normally, the home visit is done in person, but given the current environment, we'll need to get a little creative. I'm thinking a phone visit or potentially a call via Facetime. They will talk you through the process and answer any questions you have about fostering.

Once the home visit is completed, they will submit a report to the board and myself for approval. Once you are approved, I will be in contact to provide more details.
