Hi, my name is Beau and I'm a beautiful black Lab mix looking for a loving home. I'm a very smart, well-trained boy and I get along with everyone I meet, people and dogs alike. Even though I stand pretty tall, I know it's not polite to jump up to greet people, and if I see a dog I want to greet when I'm out for a walk, I play-bow and don't pull because I know my manners!
I'm awesome at playing fetch - I bring the ball right back to you - and I'm always up for long walks on the trail or the beach. I have adapted to my new foster home quickly and have no issues getting along with their other two dogs. I've learned to follow commands even when I'm feeling excited, so you know you can count on me to obey.
Because I'm such a smart boy, I am fascinated with everything going on outside and spend a lot of time looking out the window. But I don't even bark at squirrels or bunnies! I know not to counter-surf and since my foster family loves cooking, I know not to be underfoot when they are working in the kitchen.
I love sleeping in the room with my foster parents and their other two dogs on my own dog bed, and I'm very good in my crate when they go out and run errands. I’m just getting used to car rides, so I may take a little time to feel completely comfortable as a road-warrior, but I’m sure I’ll get there with you by my side!
It's obvious when you meet me that my former owner took loving care of me. Tragically, he passed away and now I am ready to meet my new forever family. Is it you?
