Hi everyone! My name is Jeb, and I’m about 3 years old. My foster dad says I’m the friendliest dog he’s ever met and I think he might be right!
If you sit on the couch, I’ll happily join you and rest my chin on your lap. That’s one of my very favorite things to do. I also love going on walks! I’m still practicing not to pull too much when I see a squirrel or another dog but I calm down quickly when my foster dad reminds me. I mean, who doesn’t get excited about squirrels?
If my foster whistles, I come running right away and I’m always hoping it means more pets or snuggles! I also enjoy car rides; sometimes I like to watch the world go by, and other times I take a nice little nap. Speaking of naps, I’m a pro at those, too. If you lay down for an afternoon snooze, I’ll be right there beside you.
I’m also a well-behaved boy! I never go potty in the house, and I don’t cause any trouble when you leave me alone. I don’t really need a crate, but I’ll go in it if you’d like. Mostly, I just nap until you come home and then I’ll greet you with a big tail wag and lots of love. At bedtime, I’ll curl up quietly until you tell me it’s time to wake up.
I was found as a stray, and while life has thrown me a few curveballs, I’m doing great now! I’ve been diagnosed with heartworm, but I’m already taking medication to help me feel my best and I’m well on my way to recovery. And, get this, the nice people at MLRR will pay for my treatment at one of their vets! I also have one eye that looks a little funny, but don’t worry, it doesn’t bother me at all! The MLRR vet says it’s just cosmetic and knows exactly how to fix it once I’m completely healthy.
