Dolly

Hey there! I’m Dolly, a 4-month-old puppy with a little beard, a big heart, and an even bigger love for life. Everyone says I look like I have some scruffy charm, but don’t be fooled—on the inside, I’m all Lab: happy, food-motivated, affectionate, and super smart!

I may be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a bit of time and you’ll see my silly, snuggly side shine through. I love to chase my foster brother around the yard and I’m always up for a good game of tug with a soft toy. Fetch? Not really my thing, but hand me a bone and I’m one happy pup. Give me ten minutes to feel safe and I’ll curl right up in your lap and happily snooze through a movie night. I LOVE to cuddle!

At first, car rides made me a bit nervous, but now I’m a pro—I even help drop my foster mom off at work each day. Sometimes I get so comfy I’ll fall asleep before we even get home! Potty training is coming along great too. I’ve been watching my foster brothers closely and following their lead, though every now and then I still have a little accident if no one notices I need to go. I haven’t had much alone time since foster dad works from home, so I’ll need a little help getting used to being by myself or in a crate. But I find comfort in being around other dogs, and I never fuss over food or toys. I just want a warm lap, a kind heart, and a home to call my own.
