Well hello there! My name is Archer, and I am an awesome dog. My foster mom even called me hunkolicious! I'm sweet, goofy, and have totally mastered the art of napping and lounging near my humans—but don’t let that fool you, I also love to run, play, and will never say no to a long walk or a car ride. I love jumping in the car and heading out on adventures!
I really miss my humans when they go out, so I always say, “take me with you!” I’m still working on feeling okay when people leave, so I’d do best with someone who works from home or isn’t gone all day. Being alone for 8+ hours just isn’t my thing—I really thrive with companionship and being part of the action.
I love meeting other dogs, though I’ve been told I come on a little strong. What can I say? I’m an enthusiastic guy! I have a blast chasing and playing with the resident dog, Stella. I’m also still working on my leash manners because, well, I’m a super strong guy and I like to go go go! My foster family is helping me learn to take it slow and easy!
I’m perfectly housebroken and let my people know when I need to go out. I'm learning the house rules and even figured out that if I sit quietly during dinner, I get a treat after—smart and polite! I’m healing from my neuter surgery and doing great. I'm counting the days until I can ditch the cone.
I love being around people—kids, adults, anyone with a heartbeat, really. If there’s a human in the house, you can bet I’ll be right next to them. I just need to find my forever home where I can settle in and be the loyal, loving companion I was born to be.
