Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. (MLRR) consists of a handful
of volunteers who share a love for the Labrador Retriever Breed. Our volunteers
are devoted to placing orphaned and displaced purebred Labs in responsible,
Due to resource and personnel limitations, we cannot take owner-surrendered
dogs into rescue. Our priority is to help the ones that need the most help,
such as those dogs that are about to be euthanized in a "kill" shelter.
If you have decided you cannot, for whatever reason, continue loving
and caring for your Lab or Lab mix, we can offer you some assistance
in finding a suitable home.
In exchange for a non-refundable donation of $30.00, Midwest Labrador
Retriever Rescue, Inc. will list your Lab or Lab mix on the "Lab Referral" page
of its web site for up to 6 months. You will be responsible for screening
and selecting a responsible adopter for your dog. You will provide MLRR with
an accurate telephone number, and an e-mail address if available, to be listed
on the web site so that potential adopters may contact you directly. You will
also provide an accurate description and at least one good, clear photo of
your dog to be posted on the web site. MLRR makes no guarantees that your
dog will be adopted. In short, this is an opportunity to place a "classified
advertisement" for your Lab on our web site. Please know our site is
an excellent resource for those interested in adopting a Labrador Retriever,
and visited often by people interested in adopting a Lab specifically.
MLRR will not help to place any dog that is aggressive into a new
home. If you wish to post your dog on the Lab Referral page of our web site,
you will be required to sign a document which states that the dog is not aggressive,
and has never bitten anyone.
We will need the following information when you contact us:
Veterinary records showing your dog is spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations,
Heartworm negative and receiving preventative medication during Heartworm season.
Good, clear photo(s) and a detailed one paragraph description of your dog. You
may want to look at our web site for examples of available dog descriptions.
Your contact information (name, telephone number and e-mail address.)

If possible, please e-mail the dog's photo and description to us so that we can post the dog on our Referral page as soon as we
